Dr. Nicole Kelly is a highly respected clinical psychologist with 15 years of dedicated service to child abuse survivors. Her profound expertise in trauma-informed care has made her a sought-after consultant for agencies nationwide, specializing in programming for commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC), vicarious trauma, and leadership development. Since 2015, she has been a leading educator, shaping the field through impactful training for multidisciplinary audiences and instruction at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Kelly's influence extends deeply into California's service landscape, as she developed key training curricula now utilized throughout Los Angeles County and the state, empowering providers to effectively support CSEC-involved and at-risk youth. She is the author of several impactful curricula, including "Word on the Street: Educating and Equipping Young Women and Girls" (CSEC prevention) and "The Empowerment Project: Redefining Young Women’s Strength, Beauty, and Courage" (CSEC intervention), as well as dedicated parenting curricula. Currently, she is preparing to release "Embrace the Journey: Applying the Stages of Change with Commercially Sexually Exploited Girls" and has begun work on a second book focusing on harm reduction within CSEC contexts. Dr. Kelly is a recognized expert witness in court cases involving CSEC and trauma.
