Choice Victim Counseling Choice Victim Counseling offers assistance for children and adolescents who are victims of sexual abuse (ages 4-17), or children who engage in inappropriate sexual behaviors (under 12 years of age). Counselors are specially trained to work with the needs and issues of child sexual abuse. Individual and family counseling is offered. Choice Ally Counseling Choice Ally Counseling offers psychoeducation for a parent/guardian who are aware that their child or partner engaged in inappropriate sexual behaviors. The program provides information on how to protect the child from being re-victimized, be aware of the signs of sexual abuse, create a safety plan for the family, and process through the parent/guardian feelings regarding the sexual abuse. Choice Adolescent Offender Program The Choice Adolescent Offender Program provides evaluation and counseling for adolescents 12-17 years of age. The program provides individual and family sessions, which focus on stabilization in the community, problem-solving skills, addressing distorted thinking, building empathy skills, increasing healthy sexual behaviors, establishing boundaries, healthy communication, safety planning, and building relapse prevention skills/plan. Choice Adult Offender Program The Choice Adult Offender Program provides psychosexual evaluation to determine treatment needs and assess risk to the community, as well as individual and group counseling for adults who have sexually offending behaviors. Treatment focuses on working on denials, exploring the impact of their sexual behaviors on their family and life, exploring their obsessions and compulsions, learn tools to manage their sexual behavior, learn ways to manage their anger, explore the effects of porn use, learn more about and explore childhood experiences, identify the impact of abuse on victims, identify and restructure cognitive distortions, set goals for success, learn about healthy relationships and communication, develop and use a relapse prevention plan to minimize the risk of re-offense. |
