The Family Focus program offers hope to families facing the challenges of child abuse and/or child neglect by providing parenting education, using family strengths and community resources to help parents learn to provide a safe, nurturing home environment where children can grow and thrive. The program provides family support, parenting education, in-home visits, enhanced/coached visitation to children in foster care, and information and referrals to additional community services.

Program Director: Kathryn DeLaney, LCAT For more information: Call 607-542-8480 Acceptable Referral Method: Must be referred by Steuben County Department of Social Services, Child Welfare Eligibility Criteria: Families with minor children of all ages who reside in Steuben County and are referred by Steuben County Department of Social Services, Child Welfare Program Description: Parenting education is provided in the homes of the families referred by Steuben County Department of Social Services, Child Welfare. Services are provided in the homes across Steuben County from 9:00am-5:00pm Monday – Friday with additional scheduled evening hours. There is no cost to participants. The service is funded by Steuben County Department of Social Services and United Way of the Southern Tier. |
