General Counseling Services

 Counseling Services provides quality, affordable counseling to individuals and families facing a variety of life challenges. Our clients are ordinary people struggling with personal adjustments, grief, family challenges (divorce, step-parenting, blended family transitions), emotional turmoil (fears, anxiety, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, victims of family abuse), and life transitions (work/career changes, health changes).  Our treatment team is compromised of Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, and Masters Level Interns.  Utilizing a person-centered approach, we join with clients on their journey to help them uncover personal strengths, skills and attributes they can utilize to help them work through whatever life challenge they are facing.

​Acceptable Referral Method: Self-referrals are accepted.  Healthcare, human service and legal professionals may make referrals. Please call 607-962-3148 and ask for the Intake Worker.

Eligibility Criteria: Ages 4-adult

Site Locations: Corning, Bath, and Hornell
 
Hours of Operation: Day and evening hours; each location offers evening hours

Cost for Participant: Family Service Society providers accepts the following insurance at this time:
-Fidelis - including managed Medicaid & Child Health Plus
Self-pay options are also available.
